Your record, and who sees it.

The Wick is built so your words stay yours. Here’s where your record lives, what a model sees when it answers, and what’s still being checked.

Your record

On your device.

Your record is encrypted under a key you hold. The search index is rebuilt in memory when you unlock it, so nothing searchable sits on your disk.

One boundary, stated plainly.

When you ask something, whichever model answers sees that turn in the clear. Encrypted on your device is not the same as private at the moment of answering.

Reviewed before it opens.

The encryption gets an independent review before The Wick opens to the public. Anyone in the closed beta is told it hasn’t been reviewed yet.

Nothing leaves without telling you.

When something moves out of what the model can see, The Wick says so, and it stays in your record. Before it replaces any of your words with a summary, it asks.

A lamplighter sees only what you send.

A lantern carries only what you choose, and a lamplighter joins a conversation only if you let them in.

Lenses say who set them.

A lens, from you or from a lamplighter, shows in the receipt of any answer it shapes, and you can pause or remove it.

The last two describe The Wick with a lamplighter, as designed.
